From the womb of Earth Mother

We enter this world as the purest, divine and spiritually connected life at the moment of birth. A ‘seedling’ with all the DNA, genetics and blueprint to develop into a flower from that point in time. We arrive into an environment and experience that we are exposed to that creates, refines and defines who we will become and our life’s direction and future.

The title implies a fairly modern perspective on this topic that I introduce to explore some of the possible pathways to who and what we are. If we begin by looking at this from the word and meaning of Gaia, we could consider that she existed before all life on this earth. There is no conclusive evidence to support or disprove this, in a similar way that we are still unaware of where we came from with an absolute and unquestionable knowing.

Where are all the goddesses?

Gaia has been simply described as life, she is all, the very soul of the earth. She is a goddess who, by all accounts, inhabits the planet, offering life and nourishment to all her children. In the ancient civilizations, she was revered as mother, nurturer and giver of life. It’s she who created and sustained us, and to whom we returned upon death. She goes by many names and exists in a myriad of forms in which she appears on Earth. Goddesses were a greater part of ancient cultures, but no longer widely revered in the same way today, other than to describe an earthly film star or celebrity. In a way that attempts to elevate a mortal to a higher stature in civilisation in an unwarranted fashion.

The Earth mother was present in many cultures throughout time, while the name may have changed, the sense of reverence and understanding were very close. The Greeks used the term Gaia, while the Inkas called her PachaMama. She continues to exist across the world and her presence is acknowledged by many. The name used is not critical as they all refer to one entity.

If you accept the history and mythology of this, you will find what follows easier to grasp. If it doesn’t resonate with you, perhaps at a later point in time this may come to mean something profound.

When we enter this world we naturally emerge from the womb of our mother, where we have developed within her body and culture for around nine months. It has been scientifically proven that all life is affected by the culture in which it develops and grows. While in the womb, we are subjected to everything that the mother feels, senses, eats, thinks and does, you get the idea. This clearly involves all the things we cannot see as well, like magnetic fields, frequencies of all kinds, energies of other people and the environment. We have no idea how any of these independently may affect an unborn child, and equally in our daily life. Just pause for a moment, think of the feelings you have in a day and what you encounter, the stress, the environment you live, or work in, and where you are taken emotionally. I think you may begin to see where I am going here.

While those are some of the things that influence a developing embryo, I want to focus more on the mother herself, her body and mind. We know that we inherit the DNA and genetics from our parents like it our not. For many, the expression of our genes and DNA may barely alter during our lifetime. But we now understand that it is not an aspect of our anatomy that has to remain fixed. It has long been thought that we were stuck with whatever genetic faults, and or history of our family and parents, if they suffered a condition, we were highly likely to also.

Science has now shown that this is not the case. But that is by no means the end of where I am going with this.

Effects by and after wars

Returning to what happened in our mother’s body when she was pregnant, I would like to go back in generations to around the 1920s. At a time when my father was born, technology, media and life were a whole different world of course. Only two years after the first World War and one that would leave its mark on individuals, families, countries, and the world for all time. I refer to the post-war era, one when hope and happiness was allowed to return into the lives of many, thoughts of a brighter future and an escape from the dark times of international conflict and horror of war

This new wave of light and hope after the war must have created an effect on all humans, the peace that could return would surely have allowed love and life to rise back to a higher level. People feeling empowered and elevated, thankful to be alive and with a perceivable future that was better and full of hope.

Women in particular, as the foundation of families, loving caring, organising, making sure that the family were looked after. Giving and compassionate, all the innate parts and essence of being a woman. Bearing in mind too that the generation before that point was equally not affected by the media onslaught of today or the stress and pressures of modern life today, in this survival of the fittest and competitive ingrained culture we live in.

Along comes a second world war, and the effects are repeated, and another generation experiencing much of the same in a decline and rise of those aspects of their lives as before and subsequently producing the next generation. A new generation born on the crest of post-war energies. Once again women being the strength and foundation of a society that kept families together with their love, compassion and unique qualities.

Evolution of a new kind

My two grandmother’s DNA, genes and total biochemical blueprint were passed onto my parents, and this is where I bring it all together, to explain how the women and their femininity expanded, affecting future generations at a microbiological level..

Cells grown within a culture that are embedded with energy, DNA, a blueprint and all the data and knowledge required to create life; the culture being referred to here is the Mother, and the cells the embryo. The mother is the embodiment of the Earth with divine love, compassion and nurturing, the purest qualities that will bring new life into the world.

The effects of the two wars I refer to, both must have created changes within women and men on a biological level. Not to change the human physical appearance but what happened beneath the skin and on a microbiological level. Two generations of women who produced children during and after those periods would have been significantly affected externally and internally by the energies at that time and changing things within their bodies. Therefore creating a new life that had been imprinted with the changes caused and created by those events over a period of years that affected the life growing within those women

This is a theory clearly, but one that I believe has a foundation for its arrival and worthy of consideration. It is based upon the science of today that can show exactly the impact of simple forces and energies upon biology, so why would it not affect humanity in a profound way too?

It has led me to a further possible effect that makes as much sense as the text you have already digested but brings into question the sexuality of many children born during those periods.

It feels that it could have been possible that an increase in emotions surged within women during post-war periods, resulting from such things as being reunited with loved ones, family and friends. To be reconnected with husbands in loving relationships that produced a new generation, a post-war baby boom! Did those women have a genetic boost as an effect of the high levels of hope and love that emerged at those times in history, and perhaps a greater level and intensity than their male partners., but more importantly in the regard of being the mothers of life.

Nature works in cycles, adapting and changing as required to continue, all life follows this path, us included. The process of reproduction is critical for all life with many similarities to be found in nature and humans, as we are all from the same fabric of life. It’s food for thought if nothing else! I hope this may allow you to consider our power, and how we and nature function in very similar ways that are in sync and simply in the flow and cycle of all life and energy.
